A child’s surroundings shape how they think, feel, and learn. Yet many government schools continue to struggle with broken furniture, unsafe or unusable toilets, lack of access to drinking water, and classrooms that are not designed for effective learning. Through our Model School Infrastructure program, Ennoble delivers need-based upgrades that make schools safe, functional, and optimized for learning.

For millions of children, school still means sitting on cracked floors, drinking unsafe water, or using unhygienic sanitation facilities. Lack of privacy and usable toilets continues to affect attendance, especially for girls. Teachers, too, struggle to deliver lessons in crowded, poorly lit, or poorly maintained classrooms.
The Model School Infrastructure program was created to address these everyday barriers to learning. By focusing on functionality, and not just presence, we redesign school spaces to support daily teaching, hygiene, and learning routines. The result is an environment where students can focus on learning and teachers have the facilities they need to do their best work.
Our approach combines targeted infrastructure upgrades with community ownership to ensure we create learning environments that are functional, empowering, and sustainably maintained.
Repair and brighten walls, floors and furniture so students have a clean, comfortable place to learn.
Build or repair water, sanitation and hygiene facilities (WASH) with a focus on girls’ needs and universal access.
Create libraries, playgrounds and digital corners that spark curiosity beyond the textbook.
Make spaces accessible to differently-abled children and welcoming to all.
Involve parents, school management committees and local volunteers to ensure sustainability.
Our Model School Infrastructure program is already showing how better spaces create better learning.
Hygienic toilets, handwashing stations and safe drinking water have improved attendance, especially for girls.
Bright, well-ventilated classrooms, libraries and playgrounds make students want to come to school.
Teachers feel more respected and motivated in improved environments.
Local leaders and parents pitch in to maintain and upgrade facilities, strengthening ownership.
Thantri, a village in Haryana near Delhi NCR, sits close to the city yet far from its pace of development. The Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS) at Thantri serves as a vital bridge to opportunity for hundreds of students. However, when Ennoble first assessed the school, several critical infrastructure gaps were disrupting daily learning. Many classrooms lacked desks, electricity was unreliable, walls and ceilings required repair, and sanitation facilities were unusable.
These conditions affected classroom routines, reduced attendance, and weakened student engagement.
Ennoble led a comprehensive, need-based transformation at this school in partnership with FIA Charitable Society and other partners. Classrooms were repaired and made learning-ready, WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) facilities were restored, boundary walls strengthened for safety, electricity stabilised, sports infrastructure upgraded, and a Maker STEAM & Robotics Lab established for experiential learning.
The results show an uptick in attendance and enrolment, and better performance from students across academic and cultural fields. Today, GSSS Thantri operates as a safer, learning-ready school, building stronger foundations for every child who enters its gates.
You can help give thousands of children a school they’re proud to attend. By partnering with Ennoble, you’ll fund essential upgrades, from toilets and classrooms to libraries and playgrounds. Together, we can create model schools where every child learns with dignity and joy.
